How much are you worth? Several years ago, Coca-Cola did a study and determined that you’re worth about $6,000 to them over your lifetime. Now that is drinking a lot of Cokes. Chevrolet determined several years ago that you are worth about $276,000 to General Motors as a lifetime customer. Computer companies estimate the lifetime value of a non-technical computer user is about $20,000.
I suppose it’s nice that some companies are recognizing the lifetime value of a loyal customer, but listen—there are not enough zeroes in a number to indicate the value that God places on you and me! We are so valuable to Him that He was willing to send His own Son to die so that our sins could be forgiven. There is no price tag that you can put on that.
From God we learn that people are worth loving. Jesus shows us how to look beyond color, race, nationality, and beliefs and just love people. God is in the people business loving them to life. The more people are loved the more alive they become. People are more valuable than your possessions and your passions. Always remember and never forget that people are worth loving because life is about loving and being loved.
