The Vision:Transform the “Deaf Community” currently living in tents in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti into a safe, secure, permanent and sustainable community for the hearing impaired to the glory of God.
The Partnership:
Frazer has joined up with 410 Bridge to establish an Executive Leadership Council that will oversee the Deaf Camp ministry. 410 Bridge has a proven track record of facilitating long-term missions between churches and local communities. The initial partnership is for 3 years and $100,000 annually, with the dedication to remain a partner until permanent stability is assured.
In addition, Frazer and partner 410Bridge signed an agreement in October 2011 with Mission of Hope (MOH), a Christian ministry that has been working in Haiti for years that represents the answer to the prayer for land we have been asking from God for over a year. MOH has an area of land that has been cleared by the government to build 500 homes on for earthquake victims. Under this agreement, 168 of those homes will be for members of the Deaf Community. The People:
Frazer’s full-time missionary “on the ground” in Haiti is Kyle Reschke. Kyle is developing relationships in the Deaf Community with a special focus on education, and he coordinates the work of short term mission teams from Frazer.
