God is with Us

READ: Deuteronomy 31:6
A friend from Opelika, Betty Wingo, posted this to Facebook:
“As I sat in my oncologist’s office today awaiting his arrival so that he could tell me the results of my PET scan, I prayed and thought about so many things. I thought about how certain moments in your life are tipping points that seem to help define who you are. I thought how quickly things can change how you think, feel and act. I remember vividly many such moments such as the first time my doctors said the ill-fated words, “you have cancer” or how 10 years later I heard “the cancer has returned.” Jaw dropping, faith challenging life-changing moments. Today my doctor uttered two very important words. He looked at me and said regarding my PET scan results, “completely normal.” Now all I can think of is, “Thank you God! I am so blessed.”
Betty reminds us that life can be a roller coaster. God never said this life would be easy for His children; He said, “I will never leave you.” Betty has learned that God is with her, in ups and downs, and that through it all, she is blessed.
