Let Everything Praise the Lord!

Psalms 148:1 “Praise the LORD.”
Ashley and I enjoy going for evening strolls. Now that the days are getting longer and hotter, we go out just after the sun sets. We live near some pretty dense woods, and there is a ditch beside the sidewalk where we walk. With the rains, there has been plenty of water in the ditch and a variety of frogs are living and courting there. They chirp and they croak and they buzz and make a concert of noises. Sometimes I swear I can hear harmony or pick out a familiar melody. Added to this there are some whippoorwills in the trees and some hoot owls. Sometimes some of the steers in the neighboring fields will add their bellowing. We stop, and we listen as the crickets chirp and the leaves rustle in the breeze. It is nature’s symphony, and I think that God has created it just for us. I think about the psalmist’s words that everything should praise the Lord. That includes me and you too! How are you going to lift up praise to God today?
