My mother-in law called and said that she had been bitten by a small snake. As I drove to her house, I envisioned a baby snake that was 8, maybe 12 inches, in length. After all, it is spring and the baby snakes are hatching. When I arrive, I see, not a small snake, but a 3-foot-long Black Racer curled up in a pot of geraniums. Pat only saw a tiny portion of the snake and assumed that she had seen it in its entirety. When we look at Jesus, we imagine Him hanging on the cross or see Him performing one of the miracles. We envision Him walking on this earth. But, this is only a tiny picture of Jesus, a partial view. We don’t really ‘see’ all of Jesus. One day we will see Christ in all His glory, wrapped in light, clothed in rainbows, crowned with stars, holding a golden scepter in a hand with the universe upon His shoulders. And we will be there with our brothers and sisters, exalting and worshiping Him. When all the splendor of Jesus Christ is revealed in heaven, we shall see Him as He is.
