As a missionary for the Deaf I have struggled for many years to see the Deaf treated with respect and equality. Frazer UMC has moved mountains in the world of deaf ministry. You helped rescue the Deaf of Haiti from the depths of despair after the devastating earthquake of 2010. At that time the Deaf were being overlooked for aid distributions of water, food and medicine. Next, you helped them move into temporary homes so they had shelter and a safe place to stay while waiting for a new permanent home. Then helped to give the Deaf Haitians each their own home. All of this showed them respect for who they were as children of God. You did not stop there, you supported Kyle Reschke to be a full time missionary to the Deaf in Haiti and now you are supporting me to go to Haiti quarterly all that is involved in the spiritual development of the Deaf. Watching the church go up was just one more confirmation of your love and acceptance of the Deaf. You are sponsoring the hearing children of the deaf adults to attend school and now with your commitment to the school in Leveque you have ensured that not only the hearing, but the Deaf will have futures far beyond anything they could have imagined. I have personally seen the Deaf rise up out of the pits of poverty and hopelessness to that of pride of ownership for their homes, innovative with small businesses and inspirational in their relationships with Christ. In the history of the world NOTHING like this has EVER happened. I praise Jesus who has led you and thank you for your willingness to be obedient to Him in supporting, encouraging and loving on the Deaf in Haiti. I want to personally thank you for sponsoring me as a missionary to the Deaf so that they can understand God’s word and learn how to live for Him daily. This trip has proved to me once again that God is moving among the people. They are now learning Bible verses and understanding the Bible more and more. God will prevail and you have allowed Him to use you for the sake of the Deaf in Haiti.
All glory to God, and thank you Frazer UMC.
