You Are What You Think: Part 1
October 27, 2015
Proverbs 23:7 “As a man thinks in his heart so is he.”
There are a lot of people who are into money management, stress management, time management, and weight management. I wonder how many of us are into thought management. The Bible says, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” In other words, you had better be careful what you put into your brain and what you are thinking about because your thoughts will run your life. Your thoughts are powerful. What you put into your brain will determine the quality of your life. In other words, you reap what you sow. I read a little piece that said, “Sow a thought, and you reap an action. Sow an action, and you reap a habit. Sow a habit, and you reap a character. Sow a character, and you reap a destiny.” Ultimately what happens in your life, the quality of your life, and where life takes you all begins with what you think about. So if you can change your thoughts, you can change your life. The truth is, you are not what you think you are, but rather what you think, you are. If you want a better, happier, more meaningful life, begin to work today to take control of what you put into your mind and what you allow your mind to dwell on. Fill your mind with God thoughts and less of the thoughts of man and the thoughts of the world. When your God thoughts outnumber man’s thoughts, then you are on the way to practicing good thought management. Maybe it is time today to think about what you think about.
