READ: I Peter 4:10
I love the words of I Peter that we are to faithfully administer God’s grace. Do you remember those old fashioned atomizers that women used to spray perfume before we had these newfangled dispensers? My momma had one that sat on her dresser. She would squeeze this rubber ball and a few drops of perfume would come shooting out of tiny holes at the other end. A few drops were enough. It was all she needed to get a sweet smell to her body. I wondered what would happen if you squeezed and kept on squeezing that rubber ball and let a lot of perfume loose. I found out. You could change the entire aroma of the atmosphere of the whole house. That’s the power of grace. When we dispense grace, it changes the atmosphere in another person’s life. Jesus was a grace dispenser. He never said sin was okay nor did He condone evil, but He always stood ready to love and forgive. He showed people that no mistake disqualified you from God’s love, no person was beyond being forgiven and reborn, and no human mess was beyond His cleansing power. Jesus loved sinners. Where He was lives were changed and the atmosphere was filled with the aroma of love. I want to be like Jesus, a grace dispenser, an atmosphere changer. What about you?
