READ: Isaiah 41:10
Someone once wrote, “The nicest place to be is in someone’s thoughts, the safest place to be is in someone’s prayers, and the best place to be is in God’s hands.” That’s a great thought. Dale Carnegie was asked the secret to his life and he said, “Every day I pray. I yield myself to God, and the tensions and anxieties go out of me and peace and power come in.” I’m not a great flyer. Some people love to fly. I prefer to drive. Flying is stressful to me. Most of us have been on a plane where you hit some turbulence. The pilot comes on and says, “It will be a little bumpy as we go through some slight turbulence.” At 20,000 feet in the air, nothing is slight to me, but the pilot will continue, “We are going to climb a little higher and see if we can get over the turbulence.” The plane goes up and smooth flying continues. When you hit those turbulent spots of life, go higher, look up, look to heaven, get close to God. When you keep your eyes on God, it is amazing how things begin to smooth out. It is true. The nicest place to be is in someone’s thoughts, the safest place to be is in someone’s prayers, and the best place to be is in God’s hands.
