READ: Psalm 148
Where Virginia and I live, we’re blessed by watching the many varieties of animals that God has made. Recently a momma deer and her twin fawns have taken up residence in the woods of our yard, and we are literally watching them grow up. We get to see the leaves begin to change color. We go out at night and see the moon, the stars, and the sky. We watch seeds planted in the ground grow into vegetables. We are both awed by the beauty and the magnificence of the world God created.
The Psalmist in Psalm 148 is overwhelmed by the awesomeness of God when he looks at creation. I know that we live in a time where folks are always trying to come up with some other explanation of how the world was created, but can you really go outside and ponder the moon, the stars, the oceans, the mountains, the rainbows, the butterfly, the hummingbird, the roly polys, the beauty of the forest, the clear water of a mountain stream, and say that it was just an accident? Whenever I begin to have doubts or questions, I just go outside, look up, look around and say, “Wow! God you are so amazing.”
