Every Sunday morning I start my day by going into Wesley Hall and sitting by myself and just listening to the worship band as they begin to warm up for the 8 a.m. service. The music stirs my soul and ushers me into the presence of God. Then I go to worship in the Sanctuary and listen to the amazing choir and soloists and instrumentalists singing and playing praises to God, and they plant my feet on high ground. We are blessed at Frazer with amazing music. And the psalmist says, “Praise the Lord for the Lord is good. Celebrate His lovely name with music.”
Do you listen to Christian music during the week? Worshipping in song is something that you and I can do every day. The music of God can be found on Faith Radio or other Christian broadcast or satellite stations. You can put Christian music in your CD player, on your ipod, or listen over the internet. However you do it, let every day be a day when you celebrate the lovely name of God with music. It will help remind you how great and wonderful and beautiful and loving our God is. Remember to follow the advice of the psalmist, “Praise the Lord for the Lord is good. Celebrate His lovely name with music.” –Dr. Tim Thompson
