READ: Psalm 50
Virginia and I were in the garden this morning picking beans. She made the statement, “You know, we are rich in the things that matter the most.” We started thinking about our riches and thanking God for those amazing blessings. We are blessed with a great marriage, three children who love us and whom we love, a wonderful church family, good friends, Jesus as our Savior, the promise of forever with the Lord, and the list goes on and on. The more we listed out all the things that we are grateful for, and just how rich we really are, the more we smiled and the more we both felt an overwhelming sense of joy deep in our souls. We realized that we are rich in love and rich in relationships—and ultimately loving and being loved is really what matters the most. You can go through the religious motions and you can do all the correct religious things and still be far away from God. But it is our offering of thanksgiving and praise that brings us fully into God’s presence. It is the offering of thanksgiving that connects our heart with the heart of God. When you are moving and delighting the heart of God, I guarantee you, you will be filled with His delight and joy.
Prayer Focus: Make this a no complaint day. Make this a day of thanksgiving. Spend the day focused on your blessings and praising God.

Note: Psalm 51 skipped intentionally, Frazer’s pastors will be preaching on it later in the summer
