I received this letter one day: “Dear Tim, Help. I am worn out. I can’t do it anymore. The most dominant feeling in my life is not love, joy, peace, or hope. The only feeling I have is tired, just tired. There is too much stress and pressure. Everywhere I turn there is always something – stuff to do at home, stuff at work, stuff with children, stuff with marriage, stuff with aging parents, stuff with health, church stuff, friend stuff. I feel like I am being “stuffed” to death. I am so tired. What do I do?”
We all have stuff. Sometimes the stresses and pressures of everyday life wear you out, wear you down, and you lose your joy, you hope, and your peace. I have good news. He has a place of peace, new life, joy, and serenity for you. Listen to Isaiah, “God will not grow tired or weary. He gives strength to the weary, and He increases the power of the weak. Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, soar on the wings of eagles, run and not get tired, walk and not give out.” God never gets tired. Sometimes we are worn out because we are never meant to live life simply by our own power or by our own strength. It is not enough. God created us to be in a relationship with Him. Get plugged in to God. He shares His power with you.
