CRAVE Summer Kickoff
The Crave Student Ministry of Frazer experienced a special Summer Kickoff Retreat. Frazer’s Teaching Pastor Patrick Quinn challenged youth from God’s Word to understand, “Our direction, not our intention, determines our destination.” God opened up the hearts and minds of many to see the path they are walking on and the need to daily surrender their lives to Him.
This weekend was full of many great moments, but one of the highlights was the 6th grade girls taking home the new and highly desired Crave Trophy! They competed and dominated the field in our Geocaching Scavenger Hunt around Montgomery. Please continue to pray for our 6th-12th grade students as we seek the Lord together this summer!
New Youth Minister
Frazer’s new Youth Minister has already hit the ground running. Chase Faulk, his wife Leigh and two little boys, Collins and Asher were introduced to the Frazer UMC family recently, but Chase has already been busy helping to lead a summer kickoff retreat for Frazer’s youth. Chase moved here from a church in North Carolina where he served as a youth minister. He is from Dothan, so getting back to Alabama is a chance to come home. Welcome Chase—we’re excited about all God has planned through you and for you at Frazer UMC!
Outreach Ministry
We welcomed 9 New Members into the Frazer Family in May. Our recent New Member Welcome Reception was a great way for our church family to be able to welcome each of these new members into the life of the church and help them get connected. Welcome!
First Time Visitor Parking is here! Many First Time Visitors arrived at Frazer Sunday morning with a little extra help on where to park. With the help of Burbank signage, Police Officers and Frazer Parking Ushers, our First Time Visitors are experiencing hospitality in a new way by having special parking available to them. Thank you to our Frazer Family for going the extra mile in allowing these front row parking places to be available so that First Time Visitors have a very welcoming experience from the moment they arrive at Frazer.
ESL (English as a Second Language) Ministry
The ESL Ministry is celebrating another successful year! Many participants, students and teachers, gathered for a delicious End-of-Year party May 12th. More than 200 people signed up for ESL, representing 15 countries. Many thanks to Lee Werling for catching some great photographs of this meaningful time of fellowship.

Sports and Fitness Ministry—JEMAC
Good Mornings has begun. Monday through Thursday from 9-12pm, children going into first through sixth grade can come to the JEMAC activity center for recreational fun. The cost is $8 per child.
Great Day of Service—Missions
Mission Accomplished! A project started this spring on Frazer’s Great Day of Service, is complete thanks to some loyal and determined volunteers. Sid Ogden, Wendy Blackmon and Scott Stricklin completed the walking trail at the new Pike Road School. The project was started on the GDOS, but because of the rain and muddy conditions, only about a fourth was completed. It has taken this long for the soil to dry out to be able to work again. Mitch and Gina Spencer provided the tractor that made getting finished in one day possible. Thankful for these volunteers staying committed to finishing strong!
Celebrating the Frazer Family
One of Frazer’s Youth Ministry’s loyal volunteers made the cover of BOOM magazine. Gary Soriano owns the Eastchase Chick-fil-a and has been very generous in donating food for Frazer’s youth events. He also volunteers his time as a leader on Wednesday nights and at retreats. CRAVE loves Gary Soriano!
This is just some of the Breaking Good News happening in our Frazer Family! Stay tuned for more details of how God is moving through Frazer UMC.
