Clyde Stein, conducting an interview of several people, asked them, “What does Easter mean to you?” A child of six said, “It means the Easter bunny will bring lots of candy, and it means a pretty new dress.” A youth of sixteen said, “I’m not sure I understand it all, but it means that Jesus rose from the dead.” A woman in her eighties responded, “It means that I have only begun to live.”
I like that. All of us, no matter what we are going through, no matter what we are facing, need to remember that the tomb is empty. The stone is rolled away. Through our faith in Jesus Christ, we have only begun to live. “For eye has not seen nor has ear heard nor has the mind ever been able to conceive what God has prepared for those who love him.”
