The Bible says, “Pray continually.” What do you think that means? Jesus says, “Ask, seek, and knock.” There is certainly persistence to praying. Are you familiar with the acronym ‘ASAP?’ You know what it means – As Soon As Possible. But maybe we could take those letters ‘ASAP’ and we could give them a different meaning for our lives. ASAP – Always Say A Prayer. To me, that is what it means to pray continually and persistently. ASAP. You may have work to do, deadlines to meet, no time to spare. ASAP. Always Say A Prayer. Prayer will put you in the stream of God’s power and peace in the midst of family chaos. ASAP. When it seems like your stresses are ungluing your life, ASAP. Are you overwhelmed, overburdened? ASAP. Are you happy and excited? ASAP. Always Say A Prayer. It doesn’t matter where you are or what your mood is. It doesn’t matter whether you speak words or stay silent. It doesn’t matter whether you are standing, sitting, kneeling, driving, walking, or playing. ASAP. Always Say A Prayer. I tell you, the more you pray, the more you put yourself in the stream of God’s power and peace.
