Each of us was born for such a time as this. Esther was in the precise place and time where God wanted her to be. She had her work to accomplish for God right where she was.
The place where you are right now is God’s time and space for you. He has something for you to do for him right where you are at your job, in your neighborhood, in your school, your family, in your community. Sometimes we think if only I had better health, a better job, a new neighborhood, lived in a different town; if only I had more money, if only I were older or younger, I would do some cool thing today for God and others.
Well, the question is not what would you do for God if your circumstances were different, but what are you going to do for God right where you are?
A lady in the nursing home was in the beginning stages of dementia. One day when her son was visiting, her mind was fairly clear and she said, “See that lady over there? I’m praying for her, even though I can’t remember why.” For such a time as this, she was in that nursing home.
What difference are you making for God and for others right now in the time and space where God has placed you?
