Next Life Now
Frazer’s new interactive, televised and live streamed Bible Study series, Next Life Now, completed its 6-week run with strong reviews. This series was intended to help our church family determine where God would have each of us serve in the coming year and to understand we are to experience the blessings of eternity, now! Many church members shared their testimonies to complement the teachings of our pastors on your story; finding hope; dying to live; being yourself and staying strong. This series is great for any individual or small group—you’ll find at frazerumc.org/next.
International Sunday School
Members of Frazer’s International Sunday school visited Wallsboro UMC last month to sing and share their testimonies. Wallsboro’s preacher said the service was a blessing to the entire congregation, calling the singing beautiful and the shared testimonies, very uplifting.
Red Bird Mission Trip
The Red Bird Mission Trip had a rewarding and fulfilling experience. Those making the trip said their eyes were open to the extreme need of people living in the Appalachian area. The residents there have little to no resources because of the lack of jobs available. Although they are willing to work, the opportunities are just not there. The team did home repairs and ministered to those in need. On a lighter note, the team had an opportunity to zip line and the youngest at heart team member, 91 year old Dot Dickenson, showed she still has what it takes! She went down all 11 zip lines. Dot had told someone she felt she still had one more mission trip in her, we pray she has many more!
Frazer Activities Ministry
There’s more than fun and games happening in the JEMAC everyday! The NBA group, men who play basketball at lunch Tuesday through Friday, donated $245 for Upward Basketball scholarships. They want to make sure any child desiring to play the game has a chance! The same is true for members of Keith Williams’Cross-Fit class. In between push ups and squats, the class took time to donate close to $200 for Upward Basketball scholarships. Sign up now for the upcoming Upward Basketball league at frazerumc.org/upward.
Gaither Vocal Band Concert
A sold out crowd packed Frazer’s Wesley Hall for the Gaither Vocal Band Concert! Thanks to the many volunteers who helped make this event an inspiring night of song and fellowship for all. Lisa Hemphill coordinated 30 volunteers who assisted with load in and load out; ushers; ticket takers; will call; runners and servers. Six families from Frazer’s Youth Worship Arts manned the concession stand. The Gaither’s road manager said working with Frazer was one of the best experiences they’ve had!
CRAVE
Our church family joins our youth ministry is celebrating the birth of Carson Elizabeth Word. This precious baby girl is the daughter of former Frazer Youth Director Brian Word and his wife Leslie. Carson Elizabeth weighed 6 lbs., 9 oz. and is 19 1/4 inches long—she’s going to be tall like her mom and dad! Mom and baby are doing fine and of course, Daddy is over the top with joy!
