Growing up we had a housekeeper by the name of Sarah Mae. She was uneducated, poor, and had endured some big losses in her life. I did not know about her hard life until I was older. She had one husband die; she had another husband leave her. She had two children to die. She had a bout with cancer. Yet you would never know those things. She was always positive, happy, and grateful. If any member of our family were hurting or fretting about something, she would always say, “Now don’t you worry none. God is going to take care of you. It is going to be okay.” She believed that, and she made you believe it, too.
To those of you who are disappointed, discouraged, and struggling in some area of your life, I want to tell you it is going to be okay. God is at work, even if you cannot see Him or feel Him. He will not let your pain or your frustrations or your heartache have the final say for your life. When you are living in Jesus, He has a beautiful future for you. It is going to be okay. It is called ‘hope.’ Romans 5:5 says, “Hope in God will not disappoint you.” Sarah Mae knew that, so she could say, “Don’t you worry none ‘cause God’s going to take care of you. It will be okay.” Hope in God. He will not disappoint you.
