To claim the beautiful, purpose-filled future that God has for you, follow the wisdom of God when he says, ‘lean not on your own understanding.’ That does not mean that you have no understanding of anything or that you have learned nothing over the course of your life that is valuable and helpful for living well. Rather, it is a reminder that your insight, your intuition, and understanding are limited.
No matter how smart or well-trained we are, or how many life experiences we have under our belts, human judgment is still limited and often wrong. Sometimes our best notions and ideas about what we should do or say are ill- advised, dangerous and destructive.
But there is a wonderful Heavenly Father who sees all things, knows all things and who is madly in love with us. God does not make mistakes. We need God’s mind in the serious matters of life. He has given us his mind and revealed his heart in the Instruction Manual. Let God’s word be your compass and you will find God’s plan and purpose for your life today, tomorrow and forever.
