It’s hard to write about the joy and the love of family life and family-living
without thinking about the 143,000,000 orphans who live in our world. That is a staggering number. Most of us have had a mom or a dad who loved us, who cared for us, who provided for us, and who raised us in a safe and secure environment, but there are millions of orphaned, abandoned, and abused children who have no joy of family life or love.
As Christians, we cannot ignore the cries of children. James 1:27 is very pointed in reminding us “A religion that God, our Father, accepts as pure and faultless is this – look after orphans.”
Today, think about adding these items to your prayer list:
» Pray for orphans, for families who are seeking to adopt
» Pray for the 6,000 children in foster care in Alabama
» Pray for Frazer’s ministry to orphans and to foster children and families, and then ask God what He would have you to do to help answer the cries of the children of this world.
