My mama died in 2005. When I think back over the whole of my life there is one thing that stands out about her that I miss the most: in all the years of my life, up until the day she died, I can’t think of a single time that I came into her presence that her eyes didn’t light up, and that a smile didn’t come on her face. She was always so happy to see me. Always! And there was never even the slightest hint that I wasn’t anything but a source of joy and delight to her. She always loved me for me.
One of the greatest gifts you can give to the people you love is the gift of unconditional love. Jesus loves us unconditionally, and as we love others as Jesus loves us, we share the best blessing of all.
