You have probably heard it said that “quality time is more important than quantity of time.” It may appear at first glance that spending 30 quality minutes with someone is better than 60 mediocre minutes. But from whose point of view is time spent with anyone ever “mediocre”? Isn’t this actually just a self-justifying excuse? We trick ourselves into believing that if we spend 15 minutes of “quality” time we can go on to do whatever selfish projects we want with the rest of our time.

If we are honest, all time is both quantity and quality. Every moment of our life will either be spent selfishly, or lovingly. The real question is, how will you spend the moments that remain? We all have only a certain amount of time left (quantity) and choices to make in how to use it (quality). By facing this truth, we can make decisions that will have the greatest reward in eternity.
