As today’s scripture shows, there is no foundation upon which to build your family than Jesus Christ. No other foundation will hold you. You can try to build your family life around money, stuff, status, achievement, or talent, but none of those things are a foundation that will hold. It’s nothing but sand. The only foundation is Jesus Christ.
Could it be that your marriage and family are struggling because you are building on the wrong foundation? Too often, we build the way our parents built, or the way our friends are building, without thinking about whether it is based on Christ.
Do you want the best for your family? Then say “yes” to Jesus. What would happen in your family if every member of your family decided to live for him?
