The November Cuba Mission team will be traveling to Pilon, Cuba to repair a Methodist Church that was destroyed by Hurricane Dennis in 2005. We will be one of 12 teams from Methodist Churches throughout the United States that have traveled to Cuba this year under a United Methodist Volunteers in Mission permit. These teams provide various resources to the growing Methodist Church in Cuba.
Team Members: Gary Cochran, Cindy Cochran, Alex Ansley, Bruce Taylor, Brent Taylor, Jimmy Johnson
Prayer Requests:
- Pray that our words and actions will be a witness for Jesus Christ.
- Pray for trip preparation.
- Pray for a smooth, non-eventful passage through Cuban customs.
- Pray for team unity and servant hearts.
- Pray that the team will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
- Pray that the team will reflect God’s love to all the people they meet.
- Pray for spiritual growth for each team member.
- Pray for a hedge of protection around the team.
- Pray that family and friends back home will be cared for by the Lord.
- Pray that we will be a blessing to the Cuban people.
- Pray that more doors will open for mission work in Cuba.
- Most of all, pray that God will be glorified in everything we do.
