Frazer’s Got Talent
More than 400 people packed Wesley Hall for the Frazer’s Got Talent show! Members of the Frazer family took to the stage displaying a wide variety of talent, from comedy to dancing, singing and even a little magic. The night included a delicious meal along with the entertainment. The money raised helps fund the Community Ministries United Appeal Fund, covering ministries such as Transformation Montgomery that’s working to rebuild homes and families in west Montgomery. Thanks to all who participated and supported this fun-filled night! If you want to see all the photos, you can check them out by clicking here.
Men’s Life
Frazer’s new Missions Director, Rev. Brandon Dasinger shared a message with men attending the monthly Men’s Breakfast. His message was taken from John 8:1-11 where he illuminated several passages as they related to sin back then and to today as viewed through Jesus’ eyes. Sharing some of the questions Jesus faced by the crowd, he explained the dilemma Jesus faced no matter how he answered. He also raised the question of what Jesus was writing in the sand and what this may have meant. No one knows. Some of those attending said Brandon has a gift of delivering his messages clearly and in an easily understood way. Brandon is part of Frazer’s teaching team of pastors so you can expect to hear much more from him in the coming months.
Frazer UMC in the Dragon Boat Races
Frazer’s Dragon Boat team, the FrazOARS finished 9th out of 60 teams and made it to the championship division. The Montgomery Fire Department won the event for the second year in a row, but the phrase, “A church team shouldn’t be that fast” was heard many times throughout the day. Paddles up! Congrats to Frazer’s 30 member team who put in long hours training for this event.
Missions—Military Outreach
Another successful Family Teams for Life program just wrapped up at Frazer, ministering to families involved in Maxwell’s Squadron Officer School. These are specially selected officers in the USAF, who will travel the world leading others with what they have learned from being discipled at Frazer! We are blessed to get to influence them with Biblical truth. Organizers are always very thankful for the Frazer nursery workers who provide childcare while these young couples take time for themselves and the Lord.
Women’s Ministry—Mom2Mom
Are you a young mom looking for someone who understands all you’re going through? The joy, the frustrations, the lack of time to complete a task? A group called Mom2Mom started off with only 2 people last year and has quickly grown to more than 40 moms gathering to share life together. From coffee, to bible studies to workouts, these moms find various ways to be there for one another. Check out the Mom2Mom Facebook group or email larrawallace@gmail.com for more information.
CRAVE-Youth Ministry
Did you know our Youth Ministry team wants to know about your student’s activities? They want to be there to support them and cheer them on whenever possible! Recently we caught Frazer’s Youth Director Chase Faulk and his son Collins taking in an FCA tailgate on the Saint James School campus. STJ students and Frazer members Annie Skoneki, Jake Maddox and Bea Richardson were thrilled to see their Frazer Youth Director stopping by for a visit. Let your youth leaders know when special events are happening in your day!
This is just some of the Breaking Good News happening in our Frazer Family! Stay tuned for more details of how God is moving through Frazer UMC.
