Welcome to Frazer’s weekly feature called the Breaking Good News! Here you’ll find how your tithing and service is touching and changing lives everyday through our ministries and programs.
Children’s Ministry—CAMP!
Frazer’s Children’s Ministry is celebrating another amazing experience at Camp Chandler. The most exciting news of all is that 20 children made first time decisions for Christ and several rededicated their lives to living for Him! More than 250 children experienced camp this year along with numerous volunteers serving as camp counselors. The children took part in games, water sports and nightly worship. Leaders are thankful the weather worked out beautifully resulting in lots of smiles among the campers all week long!
You can watch the recap video below!
Men’s Life
Be on the lookout for more stories of the “Big one that got away!” Frazer’s Men’s Life Fishing Mission took another group of youth out for an experience of reeling in the big catch. It’s a wonderful time of fun and fellowship for these youth who may not get an opportunity like this or have someone to really bond with in their lives. The next Fishing Mission is planned for July 18th! If you’re interested in volunteering with this ministry, contact Charles Hall at candfhall@charter.net.
Child Evangelism Fellowship
Child Evangelism Fellowship along with Frazer volunteers hosted a Bible Club in June for children living in the Village Green community near Frazer UMC. The children gathered each evening for games and lessons on the love and strength of Jesus Christ. If volunteers will come forward, CEF is hoping to start a Good News Club for Village Green this fall, along with tutoring on Wednesday nights. Tutors are needed to work with the children of Village Green this fall, Wednesday evenings at 6pm while possibly hosting a weekly Good News Club. If you are interested and would like more information, please contact Katy Clark at katiekins_clark@yahoo.com or 801-403-9252.
Frazer Outreach to Pike Road Teachers
We have a team of volunteers and Frazer staff members preparing to pamper teachers at the new Pike Road High School. During the week of June 22nd, Frazer UMC will provide snacks, lunch and “Frazer Freebies” to 55 teachers. Frazer is excited to work with the teachers as we make plans to start a multi-site service in the new high school in February 2016!
CRAVE Wild Card Wednesday
Wild Card Wednesday has begun and Frazer Youth are responding in a big way! Every Wednesday, throughout the summer, CRAVE Student Ministry will post on social media where the lunch spot of the day will be, only moments before lunch time. The first five to arrive always get lunch free. This third stop of the summer brought more than 30 students to Newk’s! These outings create a special bond among our youth who enjoy spending some of their summer days with each other.
Frazer Family News
Ty Taylor made it safely to Haiti where he is serving as an intern at the site of the Hands and Feet and Frazer Mission Guest Village. Ty will be working with the site manager through July 28th. Please continue to cover Ty in prayer as he works and even finds a little time to enjoy the beauty of Haiti!
This is just some of the Breaking Good News happening in our Frazer Family! Stay tuned for more details of how God is moving through Frazer UMC.
