Frazer Student Ministry
Frazer Students had another wonderful night of worship this past Wednesday at Impact. The goal of this service, on the last Wednesday of every month, is to be impacted by God through His word, worship, and fellowship— then go into the world to make an Impact. This month’s Impact had a March Madness theme. Frazer Students were challenged with the statement, “Madness with Jesus = Goodness.” Just like this time of year is madness for College Basketball, we all face times of madness in our lives. Ephesians 2 teaches that Jesus is our chief cornerstone and our firm foundation to hold us up through all of life’s situations. April 27th is our next Impact Service. Don’t miss out!
Men’s Life
The Men’s Life Fishing Mission had its first outing of 2016 and once again everyone came away with great memories and perhaps a few stories of the “one that got away”. Members of the Jeff Davis High School basketball team joined with Frazer’s Men’s ministry for a day of fishing. Dewayne Rembert of the Flatline Movement Ministry also took part and shared these comments:
“I find it very interesting that Jesus revealed some of the best mysteries known to man centered around fish. It’s a wonderful opportunity for Flatline Movement to partner with Frazer’s Men’s Life. To me, it is one of the most effective ministries in this city. Reason being, it’s a unity ministry and they don’t just talk it or bounce in one month and disappear the next. They’re not the ‘we are praying for you’ and won’t help the cause. I’m super impressed by their humility and their willingness to make sacrifices that make a real difference. The guys caught plenty of fish, we laughed and fellowshipped, and we were able to share God’s Word.”

The next Fishing Mission is scheduled for April 16th, email Bryan Carter at bcarter@carterphotodesign.com for more information.
Easter Sunday
Many thanks to our Frazer volunteers who take the time to make Easter Sunday bright and beautiful with floral displays. From the Welcome desk to the tugboat to the Sanctuary, Easter flowers served as a welcoming presence for members and visitors alike. Thousands of people attended worship at Frazer Atlanta Highway and Frazer Pike Road.
Pike Road Community Easter Egg Hunt
An unexpected turn in the weather, changed an egg hunt into a mud fest, without dampening any spirits! A crowd of children managed to fill their Easter baskets before a downpour hit. They also enjoyed games, snacks and face-painting. Once the rain hit and people headed for their cars, another “game” began—how to get unstuck! The muddy conditions proved challenging but Frazer’s volunteers and visitors teamed up and answered the call. People walked away a little muddy but with smiles on their faces. Many thanks to the MANE volunteers as well who provided a perfect setting and allowed the kiddos to see their beautiful horses.
Celebrating the Frazer Family
Some members of the Frazer family decided to get their “glow” on! On Easter Eve, several hundred people gathered at Garrett Coliseum for the Glow Run. Runners of all ages enjoyed the fellowship and the “glow stations” involving running through foam and then shining under black lights. The fellowship side of this fitness event is what attracted some of our Frazer members.
This is just some of the Breaking Good News happening in our Frazer Family! Stay tuned for more details of how God is moving through Frazer UMC.
