Welcome to Frazer’s weekly feature called the Breaking Good News! Here you’ll find how your tithing and service is touching and changing lives everyday through our ministries and programs.
Serve-Connect
T-shirts with the words “We’re Here to Serve” could be seen throughout Sunday morning services at Frazer Atlanta Highway and Pike Road. Frazer held a Serve Connect Day, encouraging members to find their place of service in the church. From working with children to food service to sports, media and everything in between, there is a place for you in the Frazer family. If you aren’t connected to a place of service, please stop by the Serve-Connect tables in the atrium over the next two Sundays or check in at the Connection Desk anytime!
Franklin Graham Prayer Rally
Frazer UMC loaded up two buses and headed to the Decision America Tour 2016 with Franklin Graham. Hundreds of people gathered on the steps of the Capitol in downtown Montgomery Thursday, April 14 with many Frazer members among them. Franklin Graham spoke very firmly about how only God can change our nation. The crowd pledged to honor God at home, in public and with their vote! The Franklin Graham Decision America Tour is hitting all 50 states. You can find out more by clicking here.
YWA Dinner Theater
You’ve heard the expression, “It’s a jungle out there” well that phrase came to life inside Frazer’s Fellowship Hall last Sunday. The Youth Worship Arts Dinner Theater attracted another sold-out crowd with the theme, God’s Wild Kingdom. The dinner theater is how the youth raise money for their upcoming summer mission trip, this year the group heads to Omaha, Nebraska. Students in middle and high school interested in participating in YWA should contact Debbie Peavy at debbiep@frazerumc.org.
Good news about the Good News!
The Breaking Good News is designed to share how our Frazer Family extends the love of Christ through their service in the church and the community. We’re thankful for our Frazer members who also serve as volunteer photographers capturing many images throughout the year. One of those photographers is Lee Werling. Lee recently shared this email that reveals how your good work is encouraging others to serve the Lord! Here’s what Lee had to say:
“Thank you for using so many of my photos in last week’s Breaking ‘Good’ News. I shared the link with my ESL (English as a Second Language) class as I thought they would be interested in seeing it. One of my students from Mexico, an engineer at Hyundai, remarked that he never realized how many Frazer members served in so many ways. He said that in his home church in Mexico people attended Mass and that was about it. He had lots of questions about how and where we serve. Just thought you may want to hear how the Breaking ‘Good’ News is being received.”
-Lee Werling
Keep serving and sending your photos and information to Kim at khendrix@frazerumc.org. We would love to share your happenings in the Breaking Good News.
This is just some of the Breaking Good News happening in our Frazer Family! Stay tuned for more details of how God is moving through Frazer UMC.
