Despite two hour delays, running through Newark and being the last people to board. We MADE IT TO MOLDOVA on all of our original flights. Well, friends we have had a wonderful day and a half. We shared lunch with some precious girls from Stella’s House yesterday. We then traveled down newly paved roads (this is HUGE news, isnt it Heather Loftis McInnish?) to Sarata Noua (where we will stay the next two nights). We had a delicious supper of placinte cu varza(cabbage). If you have never had Moldovan placinte you are really missing out. Jet lag and lack of sleep kicked in and we all went to bad way early by Moldovan standards. After a night of blissful sleep, we woke up and had the best devotion and discussion. We read and discussed Galatians 6:1-10 and man, we have all discussed it today. Ulizana, one of the girls from Stellas House, is with us and we really had some good discussion about comparing her Romanian translation with ours. The Romanian language is able to convey much more than our simple ol English.
After Devotion, we headed to Cupcui where Providence Orphanage is. The sky was overcast and the breeze was cool and our hearts were full:) We have been playing with the kids all day. We have been making crafts, learning Moldovan games, and talking about Jesus. The kids all shared their favorite verses with us today. We will post pics of it all soon. I may have even thrown in the Tooty Ta (which they loved-this is my third time here and it just occurred to me to share that silly song). Thanks for praying all is well.
