Yesterday was a wonderful experience. For someone who hasn’t been out of the country in 25 years, it was just an eye-opening, crazy, amazing ride through the city of Addis and the countryside on the way to Yetebon. It was beautiful to see the children running alongside our van and waving and shouting. When we were at Project Mercy, we used my parachute to play with the children there. When I am at school, I have to feel totally in control and am quick to put kids in time out that don’t follow my directions. Well, that completely went out the window! I was so not in control, between the language difference and just the sheer exuberance of the children. So, I’m learning to give up control and just let God go with it!
THIS Morning, I prayed specifically for you Kaye! Asking God to use the skills that you have been trained to use with kids through games. God can use us in so many ways…..show ’em what you got girl! You are one of the best!
Love you,
Hiebert
