After the walk we had some of the girls dance for us and then they shared their testimonies. Their stories are amazing and very touching. Their lives have been tough and they have been through more than we can imagine or understand. The joy and happiness they now have can only be a testimony to the work of Jesus.
After our final piece of luggage arrived we made the drive to Cupcui. The drive took about two hours and was very rough. The guest house is the only house on the street with indoor plumbing and we are very appreciative. We finally made it to bed around midnight for the first time in two days. After a good night’s sleep and showers we feel much better.
This morning (Wednesday) we have been playing with the children at the orphanage. We blew bubbles, threw Frisbees, played ball, read stories, and blew up balloons. There are several children here and even a few newborns with their moms. We will be here for the next two days and they are expecting 20 more children tomorrow.
The transformation this place has made is unbelievable. This building was once mold ridden and in awful shape. It is now in great shape and feels like a college dorm. Some of the rooms are actually set up like miniature apartments where the children live in “families.” The orphanage is the nicest place in town!
Hi,
The following links will take you to some of the photos of the girls at several Frazer services as well as their eye exams. I don’t know if any of the girls saw these before they returned to Moldova.
