There are many times in life when we want nothing more than to just be held and wrapped in the arms of Christ through heartache, loneliness, hurt, excitement or even pure joy. We long just to feel His heartbeat next to ours.
Today we had a wonderful opportunity to work in a baby orphanage with children from birth to 4 years-old. After getting a tour of the facility, we walked outside and saw the children playing and our hearts just leaped for joy. Upon approaching them, we tenderly stuck our hands out as to offer to hold them and pick them up. Some were eager and others were timid at first. It reminded me of the times that I have so desperately desired to be held in the arms of our heavenly Father. I picked up Nazarr, a tiny 2 year-old and he just clung to me. Wrapping his small arms around my neck and clinching my shirt with all he had, I just drew him near back to me as whimpered. I began to pray over him and sing Jesus Loves You.
