So today was AMAZING!!! When I found out we were going to His House Childrens’ Home twice during the week, I was so excited. Today we got to hang out with kids one on one, and I just thought it was so cool. Most of the kids were there because they were abused or their family was just not in good shape and the child needed to move. It really broke my heart when I saw all these kids, and they had no mom or dad to curl up to when they were in need of it.
This afternoon’s activity was taking the 80 kids to the pool. When I was on the bus on the way to the pool, I sat by this little boy named Gabbi. He looked at me and said, “I don’t want to talk to you.”
So here I am sitting next to him on the bus and he is turned the other way. About five minutes later, he started talking to me! And out of the blue he asked me if I knew Jesus?! I responded “yes,” and he said, “I do too and he lives in my heart!” It made me so happy. This boy—who doesn’t have much— had the biggest smile I have ever seen while telling me about Jesus. It was a great reminder of how blessed I am.
