Susan and I talked to a man in the Seth Boyden housing authority. He was 56. His name was Steven, but he goes by Country. He shared with us that when he saw two big buses pull in and block the streets, he thought the undercover police were coming and told some of the people they better hide. But, he said, “When I saw that white-haired lady (Mrs. Debbie) get off the bus and saw that smile, I knew God’s soldiers were here.” He was very excited to see us and told us it was a very rough and sometimes dangerous place to be. He also complimented everyone on their smiles and said he could tell we were there to bring the love of Christ to the neighborhood. Country was a believer and a joy to talk to.
