Well, as I type this today I really don’t know what to expect. This is my first time coming to the Dominican (first time out of the country, too), and it is a completely new experience to me. It is very strange having to use bottled water to brushing my teeth. I can already also tell that communication will be difficult since i do not know anything but “thank you”,”yes”, and “bathroom” in Spanish. Usually I have the comfort of running water and every one speaking the same language as me, and I definitely take that for granted while in the U.S. I finish right now about to eat my first Dominican meal and go to my first Dominican church service, which should be interesting yet enjoyable. Enjoy worship back in the States, and remember, we are all worshiping the same God.
