Wednesday I got to share my testimony in the Dominican church service in Cielo. It was a gut wrenching experience but now I am glad that these people I have fallen in love with these last three years know my story as I know theirs. I had a translator (Carlos) and we bonded while he was my only route of communication with the Domincan people. It was difficult to stop every few words so that my translator could keep up with my southern speed of talk. I realize now that us southern people speak a great deal faster than we realize. But over all I feel like the Dominican people (especially those on the front row) really enjoyed my testimony and relate to my life now that they know how my life has been.
