The worship time with these ladies was amazing! The ladies touched our hearts in an indescribable way. There were hugs, tears, dancing and clapping all night. When the “Everything Skit” was performed, not a dry eye was in the house. If you have never seen it, there is a battle over a girl’s heart. She has a wonderful relationship with Jesus, then slowly, “technology” blocks her bond with Jesus, then her “boyfriend”, next “greed”, “alcohol”, “self-image”, “cutting”, and finally she is ready to end it. All along, Jesus never leaves and is constantly reaching out to her but is blocked by “sin”. When she decides to go back to Him, there is a battle, but in the end, Jesus fights hard for her and saves her. Watching these ladies watch this skit was powerful. About halfway through, a lady cupped her hand over her mouth and gasped. She kept looking from the girl to Jesus and back again. She finally, along with others, began yelling. When the girl reaches out to Jesus, and He conquered the sin in her life (by knocking them all down), she stood up and began cheering. The room burst with praise.
The night ended with “No Greater Love”, sung a second time, with two of the ladies joining the kids. Before we left, the chaplain prayed a beautiful prayer for our kids. The students lined the hallway as the ladies left, so they were able to give good-byes and hugs. It was an amazing night!
