How God was shown in my life today

Well today our group went to businesses around downtown Miami and spoke to owners about partnering with the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust. The Homeless Trust is an “umbrella” organization that gets donations that they in turn take and give to other organizations in the city of Miami. These organizations then help clothe, feed, and provide jobs and homes for homeless people. To do this we walked around downtown and walked into all of the little shops and restaurants that were scattered in between the massive skyscrapers. It was HARD! Ok picture this…. go to your nearest Wal-Mart then ask for their manager while speaking Russian. Let me put this in an equation: for every three people, 1 spoke English fluently, 1 spoke Spanglish, and the last spoke absolutely no English whatsoever.

Now that I have told you a little background on the situation I will now tell you the God moment of the day. In my group was Jordan, Jeromy, and myself; together we patrolled a street all the way down to a little shopping mall set inside a building. The last place we went to was a little sit-in Oriental place that sold sushi. As we walked in and spoke with the manager, an Italian man sitting at a counter was watching us. When we were finished the man asked us what we were about. He was different. The man said he was a contractor and owned somewhere around 5 stores in the area.

Through my time today, God was speaking to us directly; showing us the spiritual war around us. He definitely showed me the struggle of our everyday lives between the balance of good and evil.
