Today we served at a homeless shelter, which houses homeless people and works with them one-on- one to find jobs and get them back on their feet. As the staff was showing us around the shelter, I saw this little boy standing in the cold rain with only a diaper on. It hurt my heart so bad to see that. What if that was me standing there at that age in the pouring rain?
Although these people are fortunate and have been given a chance to live in this shelter (it’s really nice!) and have people work with them to find their gifts and talents to find a job, it just reminds me how horrible the homeless life is. I am so blessed to have a roof over my head. I can’t imagine worrying about having enough food for my child to eat or worrying if my child will be kidnapped as we slept on the street at night. From now on, I’m going to try my best to thank God that I am blessed with such a good life and to not complain just because I didn’t get something that I wanted.

I’m so proud of you for being a blessing to many. I am lifting each one of you up in prayer.
* Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Hebrews 13:2
I am very proud of you! What great insight you have on life. Also, the pictures have shown how excited you are helping people this week. I am thankful for this opportunity for you.
