Can you believe it? It’s finally here! What is the it I’m talking about . . . the day we leave for Trujillo! Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow! I guess you could say I’m excited . . . spent most of last night lying in bed in a state of sem-conscienceness (okay Byrdman; I know that’s my normal daily persona) thinking about our Team, our journey, the adventure of Trujillo, and our Peruvian friends. Okay, so I’m not normal. For God, I’ll be abnormal any day. I couldn’t help remembering the refrain from the song in Sunday’s Contemporary worship “arms held high, heart abandoned, all I am is yours!” Over and over and over again . . . then I wake to spend time with Jesus and read His Word. Today I began a study of 1 Timothy and then read chapter 1, verse 5; “the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.” We are on our way to God’s field where others will watch our every move and action and listen to every word, isn’t our purpose similar to that of Paul and Timothy’s . . . show our love for God and His people from a pure heart, display a good conscience, and certianly live a sincere faith. Believe me it will show!
Pause today to ask God for a pure heart and a sincere faith and be sure you have a good conscience in that Jesus died for your sins!
See you tomorrow!
Herbie
