Are you excited? I am. I told Jim last night that I felt like the kid in line to ride the big scream machine at Six Flags! It’s only Tuesday. Just three more work days before we leave. Yesterday, I worked from 7a.m. to 4:30p.m.; a normal work day for me but it seemed more like 34 hours long as the clock just creeped along. This time next week the clock won’t be creeping. We’ll be on the work site by mid-morning for our second day on the construction project, printing pictures from that Monday’s carnival, writing blogs, and preparing for our third carnival and fellowship meal. Whew! I’m tired just writing about it. Then the story of Jesus passing through Samaria and stopping at the well comes to mind. He told His disciples basically not to worry about his physical strength because He had food of which they were not aware. What was it? Remember? It was doing His Father’s will! Then He turned his attention to His disciples. Look at the field, “it is white for the harvest.” But before that HE exclaimed; “open your eyes and look at the fields!” And, then it happens! I remember last year. I never tired of working in the field nor seeing those big brown eyed Peru children. The field is truly ripe. Let’s go!
Pray today our strength comes from doing our Father’s will and not ours. Also pray for our eyes to open to the “field” that is ripe for harvest because it is!
See you Friday!
