This has been the start if an amazing week! This is my third trip down to this wonderful place, and it still hasn’t grown old to me yet. Before coming down here I get these little fears every time. Fears of getting sick, or the little beautiful girl who I have bonded with for the past two years forgetting me, or maybe even not being able to feel God with me throughout the week. This year has been completely different for me. Before coming down here I told myself that God is so big, He is the God of this universe and i will praise Him with everything i do. Sometimes the manual labor gets so hard that you will just dwell on not doing it day after day, but this first few days were so different. I was so excited about starting the work and getting to serve our God. Serving our God is just about the most amazing thing that any one person will ever get to experience in their lives. These first couple of days God has become so evident in my life, already he has shown me so many different things that He has yet to show me for the past two years. Most of that I take complete blame for, because God is always there waiting to show us more and more, but we cant complain if we cant find Him because most of the time it is because we are not looking hard enough for Him. For the past two years God has been here with me, of coarse, but i haven’t opened my eyes and given completely everything to Him, which is the reason why I haven’t realized any of this before now. God is so big, I just can’t get over the fact that the same God that we are here serving in the Dominican Republic is the same God our families are serving 1368 miles away from here, our God is that big. I am just so excited to see what all God has planned for me this week, i know he has great plans for me and I can’t wait for them to be revealed to me.
