Mid-Week

The team is doing well.  We are midway through our trip and tonight the team is tired.  We spent the morning pouring concrete and smoothing it once poured.  However, we ran out of concrete in the cement truck that we had.  We will have to mix the rest of the concrete with a mixer.  This afternoon the mixer arrived; however, the concrete bags did not.  We will resume this project in the morning.

After dinner this evening, we had the pleasure of visiting with Micah and Marla Routon.  They invited our team over to their home for dessert.  Micah and Marla are missionaries in Brazil with OMS International.  We have enjoyed getting to spend time with Micah, Marla and their children while in Brazil.  Michael rode on the bus with us from Londrina to Maringa when we arrived on Saturday, the entire family came and visited with us while we were at the orphanage on Monday, and on Tuesday Micah came and worked with us at the orphanage.  It has been wonderful to develop friendships with this family while we have been here and learn about how God is using them in Brazil.

Pray for our team that we would all get a good night’s sleep tonight.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30
