Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains
would tremble before you! As when fire sets twigs ablaze and causes water
to boil, come down to make your name known to your enemies and cause
the nations to quake before you! For when you did awesome things that we
did not expect, you came down, and the mountains trembled before you.
Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen
any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.
Isaiah 64: 1-4
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never
go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35
In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as chief
among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and peoples will
stream to it. Many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the
mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his
ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” Micah 4:1-2
Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not
beat upon them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the
throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Revelations 7:16-17
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very
nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but
made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in
human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled
himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross! Therefore
God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above
every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and
on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5-11
The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the
stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1
I sought the Lord and He answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with
shame. Psalm 34:4-5
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I
will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right
hand. Isaiah 41:10
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still
sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood,
how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him!
Romans 5:8-9
