Palm Sunday Services
Frazer’s children ministry helped make our Palm Sunday services even more meaningful, waving palm leaves, signifying Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Frazer’s Sanctuary, Wesley Hall and Frazer Pike Road experienced amazing Holy Week music and sermons. Frazer member and volunteer photographer Lee Werling captured these images at Frazer Atlanta Highway.
Stations of the Cross
Hundreds of people come to Frazer Atlanta Highway during Holy Week every year to experience Stations of the Cross. Prayer Ministry leader Jan Niel and a team of volunteers create a worshipful setting in Wesley Hall, allowing anyone to walk along with Jesus during his final hours. Each station provides a setting for reflection, repentance, prayer and journaling. Stations of the Cross will be open until 7pm on Good Friday.
Men’s Life
Frazer’s Pastor Emeritus, Dr. John Ed Mathison, served as the guest speaker at the most recent Men’s Life Supper. John Ed spoke briefly about his activity in training other pastors, particularly in India, and “God’s Vision” of planting 5 million churches with 1 billion members by 2020. His message to the men present, “What’s your calling?”, was based on Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” The men were filled up by John Ed’s message and a delicious meal prepared by Frazer’s men— BBQ chicken, beans, potato salad, and garlic bread. We’re told the apple cobbler was also great!
SPIRIT — Older Adult Ministry
A large crowd gathered for this month’s SPIRIT with the focus on the ministry of the Salvation Army. During this appreciation night, the Salvation Army honored their top volunteers who help reach out to those who need shelter and assistance in getting back on their feet. Frazer member and SPIRIT leader Bill Allison organizes volunteers to ring the bells at the kettles every Christmas. Frazer is thankful to partner in the ministry of the Salvation Army.
