Celebrate Life
November 26, 2015
I Timothy 6:17 “I have richly proved everything for your enjoyment.”
Thanksgiving is about celebration. Don’t you love this word of the Lord, ‘that I have provided you everything for your enjoyment’?’” God’s heart’s desire is that we enjoy the gift of the life He has given us. Joy is at the heart of God’s plan for human beings. God delights in life and wants us to delight in life, too. Life is a gift to be celebrated. Sometimes the older we get, the stuffier and more serious and stiffer we get. We fill our days with nursing, cursing, and rehearsing our hurts. Maybe that’s because we have seen the darker side of life, and life has beat us up some. But that is no excuse. Life is still a beautiful, wonderful, incredible gift of God. Instead of filling your days with moaning and groaning and complaining, why not fill them with laughter and rejoicing and thanksgiving. Meet each day with renewed enthusiasm for what new wonders God has to reveal to you today. Celebrate Life. God says, “I have provided everything for your enjoyment,” so smile, say thank you, do something fun, help your neighbor, learn something new. Ask God to let you participate with Him in bringing a miracle to someone else. Delight today in the gift of life.
