Welcome to Frazer’s weekly feature called the Breaking Good News! Here you’ll find how your tithing and service is touching and changing lives everyday through our ministries and programs.
Unchained-Financial Peace University
The more than 1200 people taking Dave Ramsey’s FPU classes have completed a third of the 9 week session. Many participants have already made changes leading to more financial freedom, from cutting up credit cards to moving funds from a simple checking account to a higher interest account. In this week’s session, Dave had everyone stand up and shout, “Show me the money!” This is the week participants work on a full month 0-based budget. Please be in prayer for everyone taking part as they work toward being unchained from financial stress and becoming more available to do God’s work! Our pastors expect these sessions to change not only families, but our church and community as a whole!
Unchained Kids is in full swing on Wednesday nights! In week two, Frazer’s 1st through 5th graders learned God owns it all and He wants us to take care of everything he gives us: our stuff, our talents, and even our relationships. Speaking of talents and gifts, Children’s Director Cami Culpepper has given each child a dollar to see how the children can multiply it by the end of the session. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for us during Unchained Kids!
OneFamily-Adoption and Foster Care
Frazer’s ONEfamily ministry helped host an adoption orientation recently for children ages 5 through 18 in foster care. More than 20 families attended the orientation, organizers pray that the many waiting children in foster care will find a forever home. If you or anyone you know is interested in adopting through foster care, please email onefamily@frazerumc.org for more information.
Men’s Life
Steak—it’s what’s for dinner! That was the battle cry at the Men’s Life Ladies Night. The men treated their sweethearts to a special steak dinner with all the trimmings. Frazer member Mark Bain shared an inspiring message and Praise team member Misty Trussell led the group in worship. Bishop Paul Leland was among the large crowd of people who filled the fellowship for this special night of worship.

Celebrating the Frazer Family
A recent small group Bible study surprised a special member of Frazer with a birthday celebration. Betty Henry, who started the Frazer Kindergarten and served as Frazer’s first Children’s Director and first Women’s ministry director will celebrate 80 years next month! Through teaching school and numerous Bible studies, Betty has touched many lives in the Frazer family. Now she is mentoring a small group of moms—all who have teenaged daughters. Through a little investigative work, the ladies learned Mrs. Betty’s favorite treat is a chocolate covered Krispy Kreme donut with sprinkles! A perfect way to celebrate 8 decades of sharing God’s love.
This is just some of the Breaking Good News happening in our Frazer Family! Stay tuned for more details of how God is moving through Frazer UMC.
