Welcome to Frazer’s weekly feature called the Breaking Good News! Here you’ll find how your tithing and service is touching and changing lives everyday through our ministries and programs.
CRAVE-Youth Ministry
Hundreds of youth crowded into Frazer’s Wesley Hall for Overflow 2015. Frazer hosted this free community sponsored concert. The event included Rush of Fools, More than This and speaker Chad Poe, and was intended to break down denominational walls and unify people to worship our one true God! Rush of Fools had the packed hall rocking out for Jesus, More than this had the crowd of 1000 plus singing Oceans and Chad Poe challenged all of us to consider what our reflection looks like—do people see Jesus? Organizers say they look forward to next year!
Unchained—Financial Peace University
Almost 1200 adults will start classes soon for Financial Peace University, while our youth and children will cover this course as well during their regular meeting times. This is an integral part of Frazer’s Unchained Initiative. Our pastors will preach a special sermon series during this time, designed to help all of us break free of whatever has us chained up and held captive—finances, worry, stress, you fill in the blank! The idea is to help all of us live according to Biblical principles in all areas of life, freeing us up to give generously of ourselves in sharing the love of Christ! More than 125 Frazer members signed up to facilitate the FPU classes.
Celebrating our Frazer Family!
Frazer member Ethan Nettles is making history, while accomplishing a goal not many people reach. Boy Scout Troop 50 is pleased to announce Ethan Nettles, son of Troy and Sharon Nettles, earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Ethan is the first African American Eagle Scout from Troop 50 since originally chartered in 1938. Ethan’s Eagle Scout Project consisted of refurbishing cardboard recycling bins for the City of Wetumpka. Ethan is in 10th grade at Wetumpka High School and is a member of the football team. Ethan is active with Frazer’s CRAVE ministry, participating in a LifeGroup with Middle School youth minister Bryan Levangie. Congratulations Ethan!
Frazer summer youth intern Chase Ritter just made the Auburn Football team! Chase is making a transition from the sidelines where he cheered for a season onto the football field as a player. Before going to Auburn University, Chase played football at Saint James High School. He’s a great athlete and an even better leader! Way to go Chase—we will be looking for you on football Saturdays!
