Philipians 4:4 – 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! (NIV)
In London, the British government is getting ready to spend millions of dollars testing new roads that will charge electric cars as they drive over them. Using new wireless technology, the road is designed to produce magnetic induction fields that the car can turn into electric energy. Usually we think of the road as taking energy out of the car, but here’s a road that can give energy back. I’m not sure I understand all that, but every day, you and I have a choice to be like that road. You can be an energy-taker or you can be an energy-giver. You can be a joy-carrier or you can be a joy-robber. Everybody has hard stuff in life. Everybody has some difficult problems and burdens they have to face. But, while some people choose to respond with grumbling, negativity and complaining, others choose to respond with hope, optimism and gratitude. I hope you will be a joy-carrier because it will get you much further down the road of this life. The Bible says, do all things without grumbling. Instead, rejoice in the Lord always. The more you rejoice, the more you give thanks, the more you carry joy, the better your life will be.
